We are seeking a Laser Operator to join a leading engineering business based in Shrewsbury. This role is a permanent night shift (4pm – 3am) Monday to Thursday, with training on day shifts during the first week (7am–4pm Mon–Thurs, finishing at 12pm Friday). The starting rate of pay is £14.00 per hour. When you move onto night shifts, the rate increases to £15.00 per hour. This position may lead to a permanent role for the right person after an initial 3 month probation.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality components.
- Ensure all machinery is set up correctly and maintained to deliver consistent results.
- Work with precision to meet production targets and maintain high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
- Adapt to working with Amada equipment or other laser cutting machinery, with training provided if required.
- Maintain a safe and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.
