My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.
Key attributes / Qualifications
- Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City and Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
- Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
- Have experience working with control panels
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
- Have a basic understanding of PLC and SCADA software ideally
- Any network knowledge would also be ideal: Profinet, Profibus etc.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Full Driving Licence
Responsibilities
- The Electrical Design Engineer role will involve working within the existing engineering team
- Producing detailed concept designs
- Electrical schematics
- CAD design work and PLC wiring diagrams
- Producing panel layouts
- Be able to work with technical documentation
- Be confident creating parts lists and BOM's
- Contributing to a range of products
