The role of the Team Leader: Work Based Learning: Construction is to lead on the delivery of a range of apprenticeship standards within Construction and other provisions where required, equipping our learners with skills for their future through outstanding education and training that inspires them to achieve their potential.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the apprenticeship provision for construction apprentices across Rotherham and Dearne Valley college campuses.
- Ensure apprentices receive a high‐quality service and make excellent progress.
- Line manage staff within your area.
- Lead the quality assurance process for your subject specialism and oversee awarding body compliance for all other areas within your responsibility.
- Champion innovation in curriculum design through close alignment with employer needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of high‐quality assessing/teaching within apprenticeships, preferably in construction.
- Understanding of sequencing quality apprenticeship delivery and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of FE and Apprenticeship Standards, ability to coordinate and lead a team on programme design and delivery.
- Level 3 or above in a vocationally relevant subject and a TAQA/A1 assessors award is essential; IQA qualification desirable.
- Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or willingness to undertake.
