KHR Recruitment are currently working with an established and growing security systems company who are looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to join their close-knit team.

This is a hands-on role focused on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of intruder alarm and CCTV systems, working across London and the Home Counties.

The role would ideally suit an engineer with 5+ years experience within the electronic security industry, although candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong technical ability, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

The Role

  • Install, commission and service professional intruder alarm systems
  • Install and configure CCTV systems
  • Carry out system testing, commissioning and customer handovers
  • Install and commission systems connected to monitoring stations
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults on site
  • Manage installations independently from start to finish
  • Work alongside other engineers on larger or more complex projects
  • Maintain a professional approach when working on customer premises
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Maintain and look after company vehicle and equipment
  • Technical Experience

Strong experience with professional intruder alarm systems is required. Experience with the following would be advantageous:

  • Orisec : particularly desirable
  • Pyronix
  • Scantronic
  • Texecom
  • Galaxy
  • Candidate Profile
  • Ideally has 5+ years experience in the electronic security industry
  • Strong practical installation and commissioning experience
  • Experience with intruder alarms and CCTV
  • Confident working independently and managing jobs from start to finish
  • Excellent fault: finding and problem: solving skills
