Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias? You will be servicing indoor cranes, hoists and lifting equipment on sites, within an hour of Northampton. BASIC SALARY: Up to £48,000 dependent on your relevant experience

LOCATION: Home based - you will be local to the Northampton area, covering a radius of about 60-90 minutes including Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby, Rugby, Rushden, Bedford, Huntingdon, Leicester, Peterborough, Milton Keynes, St Neots, Market Harborough etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be home based (living around the Northampton area) and reporting into our Service Manager who used to be an engineer and remains hands-on where possible. You will visit customer sites to service, repair and maintain a variety of our equipment - ranging from hoists to gantry cranes and other associated lifting equipment. That will be about 60% of your week, as you will also support our dedicated installation team the rest of the time with commissioning etc.

We have a solid core customer base covering more manufacturing and industrial environments and a solid product range where we are regularly introducing new products and re-engineering existing ones.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

You will be a qualified Electrical Engineer with a background in static maintenance or field service - ideally with your C&G 2365 Electrical Installation or equivalent. You will be happy working at height, comfortable with 3 phase electrics and have a background of relevant transferable machinery such as hydraulics, motors, gearboxes, inverter-controlled machinery, industrial machinery, pneumatics etc.

If you answered YES to the above and you have any experience of working on cranes, traction lifts or similar things like material handling equipment or access plant lifting equipment such as: alloy gantries, forklifts, hiabs or versa lifts, skates, air skates, cranes, toe jacks, roller bars, ultralift, telehandlers then you should APPLY NOW!
