Countrystyle is a dynamic, privately owned resource management and waste recycling business. As part of our partnership with Southern Water, Countrystyle Recycling supplies haulage services for the movement of filter cake across Kent, Sussex, and Hampshire. We focus on sustainability, operational efficiency, and exceptional service, striving to be responsive, dependable, and exceed expectations.
About The Role
As the largest Rollon provider in Kent, you will work closely with our Rollon supervisor. This planner position will be solely responsible for planning our Southern Water contract.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review, allocate, and schedule jobs for the Rollon fleet to maximize operational and logistical performance using the company\’s planning systems.
- Liaise with drivers regularly to ensure effective vehicle resources and safe vehicle operations.
- Optimize fleet resources and operations to improve profitability and customer service, ensuring KPIs are met.
- Implement road transport compliance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage a team of drivers, including disciplinary matters where necessary.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve service queries.
- Ensure timely handling of queries within service level agreements.
- Ensure fleet vehicles are available, compliant, and maintained.
- Coordinate with workshops over vehicle maintenance and defects.
- Input job requests accurately into the system.
- Investigate road transport accidents in coordination with the compliance team.
- Coordinate safety and risk assessments with the Health and Safety team.
- Deliver toolbox talks issued by the compliance team.
- Promote health and safety awareness among staff and report unsafe conditions.
