Senior Maintenance Engineer (Multi skilled, Electrical Bias)
Rugby, Warwickshire

Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary team of maintenance engineers tasked with undertaking both PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance repairs on a range of automated systems and mechanical handling equipment including conveyors, shuttle systems cranes, robots and vision systems in a fast paced automated warehousing and distribution centre environment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment is sustained at all times.
- Supporting the team in the performing of reactive fault find, diagnosis and repair of various items of automated and manual mechanical handling equipment and analysing breakdowns to determine root cause and prevent re-occurrence, as well as proactive Planned Preventative Maintenance to ensure schedules are achieved.
- Ensuring all KPIs and/or objectives set are performed effectively and within target and agreed parameters by the team.
- Delivering ongoing continuous improvements to equipment and assisting with projects where required, whilst developing and maintaining best practices and sharing your experience to support junior engineers and apprentices.
- Working alongside and organising contractors where appropriate to ensure on time completion of projects whilst ensuring value for money is a priority, undertaking site visits where necessary to ensure work is carried out to required standards.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Electrical maintenance engineering apprenticeship or equivalent and demonstrate relevant engineering qualifications (ideally HND or above) and at least 3 years previous experience of working in an electrically biased, multi-skilled maintenance engineering environment.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of automation electrical systems, S7 PLCs and inverter driven systems, Profinet, Profibus, Can:Bus and ASI networks, and experience of working with barcode scanning networks, manual and automated picking cranes, along with pallet and tote conveyer systems.
- Good all-round experience of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience gained within an engineering maintenance environment.
