We are looking for a committed Senior Support Worker to join an excellent care home located in Lowestoft, Suffolk. Applicants will work for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers and support residents in a warm and welcoming environment, providing residential and dementia care. To be considered for this position you must have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
  • Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
  • Contribute to care planning and coach support workers.
  • Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
  • Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation.
  • Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care.
  • Administer medication to residents in accordance with policies and procedures.
