What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Provide tailored, one-on-one support for pupils with diverse needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, global development delay, or speech and language difficulties.
  • Implement structured individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning resources to make the curriculum accessible and engaging.
  • Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to create a safe, reassuring classroom environment.
  • Assist with emotional and sensory regulation, helping pupils navigate their school day calmly and confidently.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), and parents to track and report on student progress.

Key Requirements

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or significant, verifiable experience working with SEN pupils).
  • Direct experience supporting children with additional needs within an educational or care setting.
  • A patient, resilient, and deeply nurturing approach to behaviour and learning support.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to established school routines.
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (essential to ensure an immediate start).
