Randstad is in search of a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a wonderful school in Bristol. This role would suit an individual who wishes to work closely with children needing additional support in the classroom in their learning and progress.

Your Responsibilities
- Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
- Lesson/work planning for the students you are working with
- Utilise learning schemes in order to progress your students’ learning
- Report back to parents and teachers regarding the students’ progress
- Supporting children’s physical, social and emotional well-being
- Completion of daily records for pupils
- Classroom preparation for the following school day
Requirements And Skills
- Experience working with SEN pupils
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- Able to make an impression on both us and our client
- Previous experience in schools is preferred (must be able to provide 2 recent professional references)
- Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
- Good classroom management skills
- Managing challenging behaviour and supporting the class teacher
- Ability to assist teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs
