Role and Responsibilities

As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the lives of young learners with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties. You'll craft engaging and tailored lessons, creating a structured and consistent classroom environment where these children can thrive. You'll be empowered to make a real difference, working collaboratively within a supportive team.

Main Tasks Include:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students with complex needs.
  • Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Provide personal care support as required.
  • Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., therapists, teaching assistants) to develop and implement individualised education programs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching children with special educational needs in a UK setting
  • Experience working with children aged 12:18 months in a designated special provision
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting children with complex needs
  • Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
  • Availability Monday:Friday, 8:30 AM : 3:30 PM
