- Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tailored primary learning programs for pupils with diverse learning and sensory needs.
- Collaborate with the SENDCo and multidisciplinary teams to fulfill EHCP outcomes effectively.
- Guide, deploy, and mentor classroom support staff to ensure safe, inclusive learning environments.
- Use positive behaviour management and low: arousal strategies to maintain an encouraging workspace.
- Build strong, trusted connections with parents and carers through regular feedback and progress reviews.
Requirements for the Role
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK recognised teaching qualification with SEN focus.
- Proven track record teaching primary pupils with complex educational or behavioural needs.
- Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies, EHCP tracking, and safeguarding standards.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
- Strong collaborative, organisational, and communication abilities.
