A successful family-owned building company that specialises in insurance repairs is looking for a Semi-skilled Labourer to join its established team due to new long-term contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Contract Manager. You will be hard working, self-motivating and flexible to work as part of a team across the East Yorkshire area.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for completing primarily domestic insurance repair works as per the job card instructions.
  • Complete works to a high standard efficiently, maintaining health and safety on site, liaising with other trades and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Strip out properties in preparation for building works.
  • Ensure sites remain clean and tidy.
  • Ensure materials are available for multiple trades (mixing cement, plaster).
  • Prepare site for safe working.
  • Assist other trades to complete works as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of insurance reinstatement would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrable proven track record in a similar role working in an occupied domestic environment.
  • Insurance related background would be a great advantage.
  • Labourer must be qualified suitable to the trade.
  • Experience in building labouring.
  • Full valid driving license due to the nature of the role.

In return, you will receive a company van, and a salary of up to GBP 27,500 per annum depending on experience based on a 40 hour week. Closing date for applications will be Wednesday 20th May 2026.
