The Randstad Tuition Team is recruiting SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Tutors to support children in crisis care and local authority care. These young people have often faced significant trauma and disruption; your primary goal will be to re-engage them with learning through emotional regulation and academic mentorship.

What You’ll Do

  • De-escalate challenging behaviours using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Help students rebuild their self-esteem and a positive relationship with adults and learning.

  • Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, de-escalating presence (Team Teach or similar training is a plus).
  • Resilience: someone who understands that a bad day is just a hurdle, not the end of the road.
  • A background in alternative provision, youth justice, or residential care is highly valued.
