Civils and Asphalt Project Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a well:established civil engineering and asphalt contractor for an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team based in Scunthorpe.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering highways, asphalt and civil engineering projects across Yorkshire/Lincolshire. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple civils and asphalt projects simultaneously.
- Plan, programme and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, commercial teams and site management.
- Monitor project progress and produce regular progress reports.
- Manage project finances, variations and cost control alongside the commercial team.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Conduct site visits, progress meetings and client meetings.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing civil engineering and asphalt projects.
- Strong knowledge of highways, road construction, asphalt paving, carriageway maintenance and infrastructure works.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple live projects.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem:solving ability.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- SMSTS and CSCS required.
- First Aid qualification would be advantageous.
