We are looking for a Reception Administrator who will provide a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house experience for our school in Cambridge City. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the school in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer general telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries and sign in visitors
  • Coordinate with staff at all levels as well as parents, students, and external agencies
  • Maintain the reception area and ensure procedures and practices of the school are followed
  • Oversee the order and appearance of the reception area
  • Ensure confidentiality of information, including information about current, past, and prospective students and staff in line with GDPR and school policies

Requirements

  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Two recent professional references
  • Be committed, enthusiastic, flexible, punctual, and reliable
  • Desirable: previous experience working with school database software (SIMS)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to set and work to agreed targets and work schedules
  • Excellent attention to detail
