As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design and development of specialist machinery and equipment.
Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities
- : Research and create electrical design concepts, schematics and drawings
- : Make recommendations regarding design specifications to ensure equipment and processes match client requirements
- : Produce all supporting documentation
- : Provide in:house hands:on support with the build, commissioning and testing of equipment
- : Support electrical fault:finding and problem:solving during equipment build, testing and commissioning
- : Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of emerging technologies, processes and techniques
Electrical Design Engineer Requirements
- : Relevant electrical engineering qualification such as a degree, HNC, HND or apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
- : Experience designing electrical systems for industrial machinery, process equipment or automated equipment
- : Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software
- : Experience working on engineering design projects from concept through to build, testing and production
- : Understanding of industrial control systems, electrical components, sensors and instrumentation
- : Ability to read, create and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings
