BASIC SALARY: A GBP 45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer : heavy machinery, engineering, recycling equipment
As our Plant Fitter, youll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and recycling equipment.
Your day:to:day responsibilities will include:
- A Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
- A Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
- A Responding to breakdowns and returning machinery to service as quickly and safely as possible.
- A Completing inspections to identify wear before it becomes a problem.
- A Replacing components and carrying out repairs to manufacturer standards.
- A Maintaining accurate maintenance records and job documentation.
- A Working closely with the operations team to prioritise repairs and minimise downtime.

Were looking for someone who enjoys fixing problems, takes pride in their workmanship and wants to be part of a supportive team where their contribution is recognised.
Ideally, Youll Have
- A Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Heavy Plant Engineer.
- A Strong fault:finding and diagnostic skills.
- A Experience working on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
- A Good knowledge of diesel engines and heavy plant equipment.
- A Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections.
- A A full UK Driving Licence.
- A Welding or fabrication experience.
- A Experience within recycling, quarrying, waste management or construction.
- A Hydraulic hose repair experience.
- A Plant operating licences.
