About The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing our heavy goods vehicles to keep them operating safely and efficiently. Working closely with our Workshop Manager and friendly team, you will use your mechanical expertise to diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and ensure our vehicles remain in top condition.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs using your mechanical knowledge and hand tools
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting equipment issues efficiently
- Assembling and disassembling vehicle components as required
- Using power tools confidently and safely
- Supporting workshop operations with safe use of forklifts or excavators
- Communicating clearly with customers about vehicle status and repair needs
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and parts used
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical skills and experience working on HGVs
- Welding and electrical experience (highly beneficial)
- Ability to operate forklifts or excavators (preferred)
- A positive attitude and a genuine team player
- Commitment to high-quality work and safe working practices
- Irtec Certificate (preferred but not essential)
