An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Engineer to support product compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Compliance Engineer will work closely with the Lab Manager to ensure products meet all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, supporting both current and future product development activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure products comply with relevant legislation and standards, including LVD, GAR, CPR, and international compliance requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams to support compliance activities.
- Interpret and understand product test standards and certification requirements.
- Support product testing and validation activities across multiple engineering projects.
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers regarding compliance and technical requirements.
- Plan and prioritise workload to meet project deadlines and changing business demands.
- Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and documentation.
- Travel between Leamington and Telford sites as required.
- Provide technical support relating to Compliance Engineer activities across engineering teams.
- Maintain awareness of evolving legislation and industry standards relevant to the Compliance Engineer role.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent related experience.
- Proven experience within a product compliance engineering role.
- Strong understanding of product legislation requirements, including LVD, GAR, CPR, and international standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Strong understanding of engineering test standards and compliance processes.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities effectively.
- Up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes is desirable.
- Experience within appliance, foodservice equipment, or mechanical product design environments is desirable.
- Experience liaising with suppliers is desirable.
