An established and well-regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Head of Residential Property to join its team on a succession-planned basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the residential conveyancing department, managing two offices and overseeing the day-to-day running of the team.
  • Handle high quality residential property work, including transactions for high net worth clients currently handled at Partner level.
  • Develop internal referral relationships and contribute to the strategic development of the firm.
  • Work primarily from the office with the flexibility to work from home one to two days per week.
  • Progress into the firm’s management team in the longer term.

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 8+ years' PQE in residential property.
  • Strong technical expertise across the full range of residential conveyancing matters.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring other fee earners.
  • Commercial awareness, proactive leadership, and an interest in contributing to the firm’s strategic development.
  • This opportunity may suit a Senior Residential Conveyancer seeking to step into a Head of Department role or an existing department head seeking a stable, succession-planned role with long-term progression into senior leadership.
