Overview

Penguin are delighted to be advertising for a position as an Asbestos Surveyor, working within an asbestos specialist company that have been UKAS accredited since 2003 and are focused on providing comprehensive Asbestos Management Services. This opportunity is based on a 5 year contract with Birmingham City Council, primarily within Birmingham city centre, performing high quality Asbestos Surveys on domestic sites. The role is office-to-site with clustered local sites; occasional travel to Middlesbrough or Essex may occur.

Salary: GBP33,000 to GBP35,000

Responsibilities

Able to identify asbestos containing materials
Assess the risk of materials that contain asbestos
Produce concise and accurate reports after surveying
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Work to deadlines and adhere to industry guidelines

Qualifications

BHOS P402 qualified (More qualifications are welcomed; they are hiring more senior roles as well)
Between 1 and 4 years experience (salary range may depend on experience)
Full UK driving license
Working knowledge of software such as Microsoft Teams
