Apex Recruitment is supporting the recruitment of a Repair Technician: Electronic Repairs and Testing to join a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Solihull. This position is initially offered on a rolling contract basis, with a strong opportunity for permanent conversion following a successful review period.

The successful candidate will support the diagnosis, repair and validation of electrical and electronic systems within a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults.
  • Conduct testing and validation activities in line with engineering standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and test procedures.
  • Record repair and test data accurately.
  • Support root cause analysis investigations.
  • Ensure products and systems meet required quality standards.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in electronics repair, testing or diagnostics.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous automotive or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience as a Repair Technician: Electronic Repairs and Testing would be beneficial.
Contract Information

This position is offered on a rolling contract basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment following a successful review period. The successful Repair Technician: Electronic Repairs and Testing will support a range of diagnostic and testing activities within the facility.

Working Hours

Candidates will generally work a rotating three-shift pattern:

  • Mornings: 06:00 - 13:30
  • Afternoons: 13:30 - 21:00
  • Nights: 21:00 - 06:00

There may also be a requirement to work double days:

  • Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Late Shift: 14:00 - 22:00

Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The Umbrella Pay Rate offered is inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitment's contribution towards Employer Costs.
