Our client, a well-established manufacturer of bespoke products used within the electrical industry sector for both the UK and globally, is seeking a Machine Technician to join their existing team. As a Machine Technician, you will set, calibrate and operate precision production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work to engineering drawings and production documents
  • Use precision measurement equipment to set equipment accurately
  • Set, calibrate and operate precision measurement equipment
  • Calculate lengths and quantities of materials required for production using Excel and mental arithmetic
  • Support other production activities when required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in operating and setting production machinery
  • Apprentice trained and entry level candidates will be considered
  • Experience working with metals would be beneficial
  • Must be able to work to engineering drawings and production documents
  • Must be comfortable in making calculations and using Excel
