A growing engineering consultancy in Reading is looking for a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of rail projects while developing your technical expertise alongside experienced engineers.

The Role
- Assist in the design of foundations, retaining walls, slopes and earthworks.
- Interpret ground investigation data and prepare geotechnical assessments.
- Produce geotechnical calculations and technical reports.
- Support the delivery of rail and infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
- Work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Attend client and project meetings where required.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and project requirements.
- Contribute to technically challenging projects across the UK.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
- At least one years experience within geotechnical design.
- Experience preparing technical reports and undertaking geotechnical assessments.
- An interest in working on rail and infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
