Role Summary
This Quality Inspector role involves working within a small, highly skilled team to deliver high‑quality transmission components, primarily for the motorsport and aerospace sectors. The Quality Inspector will focus on achieving right‑first‑time quality through accurate inspection, strong technical understanding, and adherence to routed timeframes.
Role and Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector
- Interpret and work accurately from complex technical drawings and geometric tolerances
- Inspect components against drawings and planning route cards to the highest quality standards
- Carry out manual inspection using a range of measuring equipment
- Perform table work to validate components against drawing and planning requirements
- Support continuous improvement activities through proactive problem‑solving
- Provide flexible support to other manufacturing areas when required
- Work additional hours when necessary to meet delivery deadlines
Requirements of the Role
- The Quality Inspector will have a strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances
- Experience inspecting precision components within routed timeframes
- Competence using manual measuring equipment
- Experience performing detailed table inspection work
- Programming experience on CMM systems would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Mitutoyo software would be advantageous
- Proactive, innovative mindset with a strong team‑focused approach
Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The umbrella pay rate offered is inclusive of the assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards employer costs.
