I'm currently working for a Central London based tech consultancy of over 70 years who are looking for a Python Developer to come and join their growing team on a hybrid basis. The company is a serial award-winner and provides consultative bespoke tech services to industries such as healthcare, insurance, pensions, energy and sport across the UK and beyond.
They are a growing development team of roughly 20 in total size, split across their 3 offices and in the role you will be working on the continued development of one of their key platforms. You will mainly work on the backend with Python (and ideally C which is also used), developing new features in an Agile environment while also working extensively with AWS/Azure. You'll work collaboratively with different teams across the business and also get the platform to progress and take more responsibility within the business: something they really encourage across their tech teams.
The office is based in Central London, and they are looking for office working of 2 days a week.
Responsibilities- Work on the continued development of a key platform
- Mainly work on the backend with Python (and ideally C)
- Develop new features in an Agile environment
- Work extensively with AWS and Azure
- Collaborate with different teams across the business
- Help the platform progress and take more responsibility within the business
- Strong Python experience across latest versions
- Ideally experience with C which is also used across the business
- Good working experience with Cloud technologies: AWS or Azure
- Other technologies include WebAPIs, Testing, CosmosDB, CI/CD
- Good collaboration skills and ability to communicate amongst different teams
- Happy working in an environment where you have autonomy and control over your day
- Keen desire to learn new technologies and progress within the business
