Proposals Engineer required for an industry leading engineering company who are going through an exciting period of growth and development. This is a great opportunity to join a company who work with many of the world’s leading blue-chip companies within various industries including power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical, commercial construction and infrastructure, water and waste, recycling and general manufacturing.
This role would suit candidates with a background working in an engineering sales department, or someone looking to transfer into this line of work. Graduates (or equivalent) who have studied engineering, acoustics, or similar are encouraged as are candidates from a hands-on background working with steel fabrication, looking for an office / sales-based role.
The Proposals Engineer position is predominantly an internal role, focused on the development and presentation of business proposals. You will be involved in producing initial hand sketches / designs, preparing estimations and quotations.
The Proposals Engineer Role:
- Development and presentation of proposals that meet or exceed customer criteria
- Collaborate with engineering, design and supply chain
- Development of relationships with new and existing accounts
- Updating CRM database – working with Salesforce
The Proposals Engineer Candidate:
- Experience in a similar role
- Graduate (or equivalent) with a degree in engineering, acoustics or similar
- Understanding of airflow
- Hands-on background working with steel fabrication / sheet steel environment looking to move into an office based role
