Salary: GBP 35,000 – GBP 45,000 per annum (dependent on relevant experience)

My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Product Support Engineer with an Electronics / Mechatronics bias, on a permanent basis, in the South Oxfordshire area.

Qualifications

  • NVQ/HNC/HND/BTEC/Degree qualified or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Some form of industry experience in a technical role after your studies (e.g., technical engineering, technical sales, technical support or manufacturing environment)
  • Knowledge of inverters, motion controllers, or similar (training provided)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; able to work well over the phone
  • Ability to work well individually as well as in a team
  • Proficient with using MS Office applications
  • CRM systems / SAP knowledge an advantage, but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence essential for attending customer sites; flexibility to travel occasionally required

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to customers with regards to company products
  • Involved pre‑sales on the application side of things
  • After‑sales troubleshooting issues
  • Providing timely technical assistance over the phone, email and in person
  • Working with the company CRM system
  • Working closely with different company departments to help with product improvements
  • Always driving continuous improvement
  • Delivering technical training sessions when required
