Job Overview

Location: Plymouth, Devon (and surrounding areas)

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term-time only)

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Day-to-Day Supply, Long-Term Contract

Salary: Competitive Daily Rate (Dependent on experience, paid weekly)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), creating an engaging learning environment for students of all abilities.
  • Supply Teaching Flexibility: Step into pre-planned classrooms confidently, managing behaviour effectively and ensuring student progress.
  • Long-Term Teaching Support: For long-term roles, take on planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA), as well as participating in departmental meetings.
  • Academic Progress: Support students in boosting their STEM confidence and reaching their target exam grades.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT/NQT status.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related STEM subject.
  • Proven classroom management skills within a UK secondary school setting.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
