Randstad Education is hiring HLTAs in Cambridge. We need resilient, skilled professionals to lead cover supervision and manage high-impact intervention groups across various year groups. If you possess the expertise to adapt seamlessly to different learning environments and the drive to take on a crucial support role, secure your next career milestone with us today. This is a full-time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday to Friday in line with school hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide whole-class cover supervision during teacher absence.
  • Plan and lead targeted intervention groups (e.g., literacy, numeracy, SEN).
  • Contribute to lesson planning, resource creation, and student assessment.
  • Support students with SEN and work closely with the SENCO.
  • Mentor or support other Teaching Assistants where applicable.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding.

Preferred Skills

  • HLTA Status OR a relevant Level 4+ qualification with significant TA experience.
  • Proven experience covering classes and leading learning activities independently.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Experience planning and delivering effective intervention programmes.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN and implementing EHCPs.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
