Your Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Modern Foreign Languages, you will play a key role in supporting high‑quality teaching and learning in French and Spanish across KS2 to KS4. Working closely with the MFL Subject Leader and teaching staff, you will support whole‑class learning, deliver planned lessons, and work with individuals and small groups to build fluency, confidence and exam readiness. This role suits someone who is organised, proactive and confident working independently within a clear framework. You will bring experience of working with young people in educational settings, a passion for languages, and the ability to adapt resources and approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs. Responsibilities and Expectations
- Support high‑quality teaching and learning in French and Spanish across KS2 to KS4.
- Deliver planned lessons and support whole‑class learning.
- Work with individuals and small groups to build fluency, confidence and exam readiness.
- Assist KS4 pupils with speaking, listening, and written responses to support GCSE success.
- Maintain positive relationships with pupils and promote engagement, independence and progress.
- Collaborate with the MFL Subject Leader and teaching staff.
Compensation
Salary: Pathway 5, £25,043 – £26,897 per annum (FTE £32,061 – £34,434).
