Location: North Gloucestershire / Cotswolds – commutable from Cheltenham, Evesham, Oxford, Bicester, Cirencester, Warwick, Banbury, Chipping Norton and surrounding areas. Travel requires 50% Field based and 50% Workshop based.
Our client is a market leader in high-end domestic environmental systems, specialising in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a versatile Engineer to handle a mix of technical workshop tasks and on-site commissioning.
The Role
This is a unique engineering role that offers the perfect balance between a stable workshop environment and the autonomy of field service.
- Field Responsibilities (50%): You will travel to high-end domestic properties to perform commissioning, performance testing, and system repairs. You will be the face of the company, ensuring systems are running at peak efficiency.
- Workshop Responsibilities (50%): You will be based at the main hub, involved in product assembly, component testing, and technical refurbishments.
Travel: You will be installing new systems to customers throughout England, so there will be the very occasional overnight stay (approx. 1-2 times per month) for further-afield projects.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with some engineering experience ideally, but most importantly a willingness to learn and become a fully-fledged renewable energy system engineer. Training for this role can take up to a year, in which you will do a mixture of theoretical and on-the-tools based learning.
Location & Commute: As this role requires some workshop based work, candidates should live within approximately an hour of our client's Cotswolds based depot, which is easily commutable from Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury, Cheltenham, Evesham, Oxford, Chipping Norton.
