This specialist team within an award-winning national law firm is seeking additional talent to advise on complex data protection matters on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role supports the contentious data protection and information governance practice.
Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on complex Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
- Handling data breaches and other challenging information law issues.
- Managing digital security incidents, cyber-attacks and related litigation or tribunal proceedings.
Qualifications:
- Solicitor with 2+ years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
- Practical experience managing DSARs, FOI requests and responding to personal data breaches.
- Commercial, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Experience in cyber-attacks and contentious data protection matters, including tribunal proceedings, is a distinct advantage.
