Position: Specialist SEN / Alternative Provision Teacher

Salary: M1 to M6 (Matches your experience)

Location: Nottingham (City Hub)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a holistic, flexible curriculum blending academic, personal, and life skills.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of learners with various abilities.
  • Set ambitious, highly personalised targets based on current learning gaps.
  • Use creative strategies to engage vulnerable, disengaged learners.
  • Collaborate with team members and support staff to support each learner.

Qualifications

  • QTS / PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (Essential).
  • Core strength in KS3/KS4 Maths / Functional Skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with vulnerable learners.
  • Reflective mindset and a desire to work in a collaborative, supportive team.
  • Resilience and willingness to adapt from mainstream to alternative provision.
