White House Farm Primary School is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our school in September 2026.

Location: White House Farm Primary School, Norwich NR7 8DN

Salary: Pro rata: £19,022 – £19,984 per annum (includes holiday pay allowance). Full time equivalent: £25,185 – £25,989 per annum.

Vacancy Type: Permanent, full‑time, term‑time plus 1 week, 32.5 hours per week.

Starting Date: September 2026.

About the School: Established in September 2019, our modern building and exceptional grounds include two playgrounds, a vast games field and an outdoor learning classroom, creating an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. We believe that children should be curious about their learning and foster a passion for high aspirations through an engaging, well‑rounded curriculum that nurtures individual talents. Responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance of teachers to support pupils with SEND, ensuring learning needs are met.
  • Provide additional teaching and support in the classroom.
  • Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
  • Monitor pupil progress and safety during all school activities.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment.
  • Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Commitment to high teaching, learning and professional development standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour.
  • Understanding of inclusive environments and high expectations on pupil behaviour.
  • Professionalism, welcoming and friendly approach.
  • Ability to ensure safety and well‑being of pupils in all school areas.
