An established and growing acoustic consultancy is looking to recruit a Junior Acoustic Consultant for its Norwich office. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career in acoustics who is eager to build practical experience within a supportive and well-respected team.
The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects throughout the East of England, covering environmental noise and building acoustics. Responsibilities will include noise monitoring, acoustic analysis, technical reporting and liaising directly with clients. The company is strongly committed to career development, providing structured training, clear advancement opportunities and full sponsorship for the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.
What the role offers:
- Salary between GBP28,000 and GBP35,000, depending on experience

Key duties:
- Carrying out environmental noise surveys and building acoustics testing
- Producing technical reports, including noise impact assessments
- Assisting with acoustic modelling and interpretation of data
- Liaising with clients, planners, contractors and local authorities
- Supporting senior consultants on larger and more complex schemes
- Contributing to proposals, tenders and business development activities
Skills and Experience Required:
- Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related subject
- Around 2-4 years experience in environmental and/or building acoustics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with BS4142, BS8233 and relevant planning guidance
- Currently studying for, or willing to undertake, the IOA Diploma
- Full UK driving licence
