Hours of work: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, 9 hours per day plus overtime (45 hours per week plus overtime)

A candidate requires an HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence. CPCS Vacuum Excavation licence card (CPCS A78, NPORS) is desirable but can be obtained with training if you meet driving requirements.

Job Description: Vacuum Suction Excavator Driver / Operative for a civil housing construction company. You will drive and operate a brand-new suction excavator, commute to housing sites (45–50 miles from Northampton) in a company van. You will be one of two drivers; work with a partner on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive the suction excavator safely and efficiently.
  • Transport the vehicle to various housing sites as required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and contractors on site.
  • Adhere to shift times and complete the full 45 hours per week plus overtime.
Requirements:
  • HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
  • Plant operator card CPCS A78 and/or NPORS for vacuum excavators.
  • ESUR/NPORS card.
  • Good communication skills and team player attitude.
  • Reliable, strong work ethic, willing to start ASAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating a vacuum excavator.
  • Existing CPCS Vacuum Excavation licence card.
  • Civil background advantageous.
