About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and organised Graduate Project Manager to join a professional project delivery team in Newport.

Salary: up to A GBP 36,581

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build a career in construction project management. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you will gain practical experience across the full project lifecycle, supporting projects from inception through to completion.
The successful candidate will support project planning, coordination, monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement, while developing their knowledge and experience across construction project delivery, procurement, contract administration and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and maintenance of project plans, programmes, budgets and resource schedules.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including project briefs, RAID logs, delivery plans and progress reports.
- Maintain accurate and up:to:date project records and filing systems.
- Assist in coordinating project activities to ensure key milestones are achieved.
- Support Project Managers with the day:to:day delivery of construction projects.
- Monitor project progress and identify emerging risks, issues and delays, escalating these to senior colleagues where appropriate.
- Assist with tracking project budgets and expenditure.
- Support procurement activities, including obtaining quotations, preparing documentation and liaising with suppliers and contractors.
- Attend site meetings and project reviews as required.
- Build positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants and clients.
- Assist with preparing meeting agendas, minutes and action trackers.
- Support communication activities to ensure stakeholders are kept informed of project progress.
- Produce regular project updates and performance reports.
- Assist with identifying and monitoring project risks, issues and dependencies.
- Support compliance with organisational policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Promote adherence to health and safety requirements across project activities.
- Assist in monitoring quality standards and project deliverables.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to build project management knowledge and skills.
- Develop an understanding of construction project delivery, contract administration and governance processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake other duties as required.
About You
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in a Project Management:related discipline.
- Previous experience in a similar or related project management role is desirable.
- Experience of construction project management, including contract management, is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
- A proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise your own work effectively in a busy and fast:paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- A proactive and solution:focused approach to problem:solving.
- The ability to think creatively and use initiative to find solutions to complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate project records.
- Confidence liaising with stakeholders and decision makers at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A current site card, or willingness to obtain one immediately.
- A full UK driving licence to meet the travel requirements of the role.
- A genuine interest in construction and a desire to develop a career in project management.
