We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to work as part of Newcastle City Council Licensing Authority supporting a wide range of licensing functions. This is an exciting time to join the team as we address challenges and support the continued development of the licensed trade as part of our day and night time economies managing applications and licensing changes to positively implement our departmental licensing policies.

Whilst this role focuses primarily on hackney carriage and private hire fleet, licensed drivers and operators, it may also involve working across various licensing functions as part of the Licensing Authority. The Licensing Authority provides access to modern well-resourced office and collaborative spaces, and first-class provision of IT along with a commitment to provide structured face to face mentoring, shadowing and learning opportunities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in delivering regulatory services
  • A disciplined and good work ethic

You will be provided with all the training and support you need to successfully carry out your roles.
