A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a committed Physical Health Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Newark, Nottinghamshire area.

You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers
This is a purpose: built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery: based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs
To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin

  • As a Nurse Your Key Responsibilities Include
  • Facilitate physical healthcare plans and treatments to help patients maintain their optimum level of physical well: being
  • Lead the development and regular review of physical healthcare care plans, ensuring patients needs are identified and appropriate interventions are implemented
  • Ensure routine and ad hoc physical health monitoring (e. g.

Clozapine/Lithium blood tests, ECGs, and long: term condition reviews) are completed as prescribed and accurately documented

  • Support the clinical team on the ward and provide cover for staff when required
  • Lead staff education and training on physical healthcare best practices, including Naso: gastric tube feeding and other clinical procedures
  • Act as the Infection Prevention and Control Lead, providing education, guidance, and support to staff across the hospital
  • Conduct clinical audits, support emergency drills, and promote compliance with healthcare standards and best practice
  • Promote health and wellbeing by leading healthy living initiatives, supporting immunisation programmes, and working with patients, families, and professionals to encourage healthier lifestyles
  • The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
  • A minimum of 2 or 3 years post registration experience
  • Experience in NG Feeding and Phlebotomy
  • Experience of training others
  • An understanding of mental health

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of GBP37,272 per annum.

This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week from

Mon: Fri/9am:5pm.
