An exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee the operation of two 2-bed EBD children’s homes located approximately one mile apart in the New Milton area.

Location: New Milton, Hampshire

Salary: GBP 50,000 – 55,000 DOE

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week

Service: 2 × 2-bed EBD Children’s Homes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of both children's homes
  • Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015)
  • Promote positive outcomes and high standards of emotional and physical care for young people
  • Develop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Provide strong leadership, motivation, and development to the staff teams
  • Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and performance management
  • Lead recruitment and ensure robust safer recruitment practices are followed
  • Oversee staff training and development to ensure high-quality practice
  • Monitor incidents, identify lessons learned, and implement service improvements
  • Manage budgets, resources, and ensure the homes remain safe and well maintained
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when required
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards are fully implemented

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (Essential)
  • Previous experience within children’s residential care
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve positive outcomes
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
