Duration : 50 weeks
The Role : Multi:skilled Operator
As Operator , you will be responsible for the safe and efficient day:to:day trades on site, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with programme, budget, quality standards, and strict prison security procedures.
This is a hands on role, responsible for multi trade activities including carpentry, general fabric and externals .
You will coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades across and fire protection packages, while maintaining strong communication with the client, prison staff, and wider project teams.
Working within a live custodial environment will require excellent planning, attention to detail, and the ability to manage works with minimal disruption to prison operations.
Key Responsibilities
- On site operations and subcontractor activities
- Managing internal and external upgrade works

- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with H and S legislation
- Maintaining site records, permits, RAMS and progress reports
- Liaising with client representatives, prison authorities and project stakeholders
- Managing site logistics and security restrictions within a live prison environment
- Monitoring programme delivery and quality standards
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have multi:skilled experience within construction, refurbishment, FM or maintenance projects.
Experience working within live environments such as prisons, hospitals, schools, MOD sites or other secure facilities would be highly advantageous.
Essential Requirements
- Full right to work in the UK
- Ability to pass enhanced prison security vetting
- Clean criminal record with no convictions or cautions
- Based within commuting distance of Boston
Desirable Qualifications And Experience
- CSCS Card
- Working at Height
- Hands on multi : trade
- Experience internal refurbishment projects
- Experience within custodial or secure environments
Important Information
Due to the nature of the project and security requirements, all successful applicants will be required to undergo full prison vetting prior to starting on site. Applications are being accepted now to allow sufficient time for clearance to be completed ahead of the planned May start date.
