A leading Facilities Maintenance service provider is seeking an experienced and versatile Multi-Skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and motivated individual to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of a critical site.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
- Maintain and service electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, emergency lighting, and fire alarms.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on HVAC plant, pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, and basic plumbing systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections, plant checks, and monitor BMS systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide first-line fault diagnosis and repair, escalating complex issues where necessary.
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including maintenance logs, compliance paperwork, and risk assessments.
- Support other on-site engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth, efficient site operations.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in an Electrical discipline (e.g., City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent): Essential.
- Proven experience in building services maintenance within a commercial environment, ideally in a prestigious or high-end setting.
- Strong multi-skilled knowledge, able to work confidently on both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Competence in fault finding, planned maintenance, and compliance procedures.
- Familiarity with BMS systems and working within SLA/KPI-driven environments.
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing approach.
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, including health and safety legislation.
