Reeson Education is delighted to be working on an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Montessori Assistant in a well-established Montessori school in Islington. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to support early years education in a nurturing, child-centred environment.

Position Details:

  1. Expected Start Date: 6th April 2025
  2. Salary: Highly competitive and dependent on experience
  3. Contract Type: Permanent
  4. Hours (Term Time):
  1. Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  2. Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the lead Montessori teacher in delivering a high-quality, child-led educational program.
  2. Support and engage children in various activities that promote independence and holistic learning.
  3. Prepare and maintain the learning environment in line with Montessori principles.
  4. Observe and document children’s progress to support their development.
  5. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience in a teaching or childcare setting (Montessori experience preferred).
  2. Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and methods.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  5. A recognised childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 Certificate).
