PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT: Mobile Worker Covering Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry). You are required to travel to and work at various locations within the Midlands as the Company shall reasonably require for the proper performance of your duties.

SALARY: GBP37,000 - GBP40,000

HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

RECRUITMENT: This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS and reference checks.

Summary Of Duties:

  • Service and maintenance of electrical appliances within both commercial and domestic properties.
  • Electrical experience within both commercial and domestic properties.

Main Duties:

  • Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Carry out the day to day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed to complete EICR.
  • Make immediate decisions regarding the repair requirements should the original job order not reflect the actual works required and inform the relevant director.
  • Inform the customer (with reason) when it is not possible to complete a repair within the first visit and make mutually agreed arrangements to return to complete and inform the relevant director.
  • Direct helpers engaged in assembly or installation of air conditioning systems or components.
  • Liaise with management and/or client to ensure all works are completed.
  • Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely and in accordance with current codes and practices.
  • Abide by all client rules and regulations whilst on site (copy available upon request).
  • Ensure when purchasing materials, a best value and cost effective approach is sought.
  • Maintain and keep up to date all training required to carry out the role.
  • Accurately complete all relevant documentation associated with the duties and ensure the prompt return to the office of all relevant information in relation to the daily tasks.
  • Where a Company vehicle is provided, ensure that it is used in accordance with the Company’s current policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all company property, i.e. motor vehicle, uniform, tools etc., are operated safely, kept clean and in good order and tested when required to maintain the safe working of all heating systems.
  • Actively take a proactive approach in finding and quoting additional works, should it be required.
  • Adhere to the Company policies and procedures, handbook and Health and Safety.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of site experience in completing Electrical Installations.
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of BS 7671: IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Electrical services and products.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working.
  • Have a good eye for detail and highly motivated to succeed.
  • Full UK (Clean) driving licence.

Preferences:

  • City and Guilds BS7671:2018 Level 3: Electrical Installations.
  • City and Guilds 2391: Testing and Inspecting (previously 2394/2395).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Commercial and Residential Electrical Installations.
  • 1 and 3-phase power installations.
  • EICR Electrical testing.
  • Energy-saving LED lighting upgrades.
  • Planned and Reactive Electrical Service and Maintenance.

Benefits:

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
  • Pay: GBP37k to GBP40k per annum plus overtime at an enhanced rate (Qualification and experience dependent) with appraisal following a probationary period.
  • Annual Leave entitlement is twenty days plus bank holidays.
