The Project
You will be working on the significant GBP107 million redevelopment of the Port Ellen Ferry Terminal on the Isle of Islay. The project is a key infrastructure upgrade designed to modernise the harbour and expand the landside facilities to support both current and future ferry operations. The scope of work is extensive, including major land reclamation to create marshalling areas, marine improvements such as the construction of a new dedicated ferry berth, dredging, and the delivery of a larger terminal building, a new linkspan, and modern shore power charging facilities. Construction is scheduled to reach completion by 2029.
The Role
As the Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, site surveys, and ensuring construction activities adhere to design specifications and safety standards on this complex marine and infrastructure project. Due to the remote location, this is a full-time, site-based role where full relocation to the Isle of Islay is preferred.

- Relevant Site Engineer qualifications and experience in large-scale civil engineering or marine projects.
- A current and valid CSCS card.
- A proven ability to work independently on site.
- Willingness to commit to a 3-year project duration and relocate to the Isle of Islay.
