6 Month Rolling Contract: Hybrid Working
You will design and develop powertrain components and systems, from concept to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring safety, reliability and performance standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Use advanced CAD tools to develop 3D models and detailed drawings for powertrain components and assemblies, including some surfacing work.
- Ensure product designs meet performance, reliability, and safety standards for both manufacturing and end users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer specifications and drive product development.
- Conduct engineering calculations and analyse technical data to solve problems and support product innovation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, combined with experience in product design or development.
- Proficiency in designing mechanical parts and systems, with a focus on powertrain, drivetrain, or hydraulics.
- Expertise in using 3D CAD software (NX, Creo and/or Catia) to create detailed models and drawings.
- Strong understanding of GD and T principles and the ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
