My client is a specialist manufacturer within the Instrumentation sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis.

Attributes / Qualifications

  • BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 4 or more years of industry experience working in a similar Mechanical Design role
  • Ideally have some experience with process equipment and automation
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and instrumentation
  • Excellent proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks is desirable
  • Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
  • The ability to understand system requirements
  • Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to travel nationally and internationally on occasion

The Mechanical Design Engineer Role Will Involve

  • Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
  • Leading client projects to convert ideas into designs
  • Working on new product concepts
  • Being involved in the product design and development process using CAD
  • Leading manufacture, construction, installation and maintenance documentation
  • Working with high precision instrumentation products
  • Perform detailed calculations
  • Conducting design reviews
