Electrical Maintenance Engineer Food Manufacturing

Are you an electrically biased engineer who enjoys the fast-paced environment of food manufacturing but wants to keep your nights free? We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our modern production facility near Peterborough.
The Role
- You will be the heartbeat of our production line, ensuring that our high-speed packaging and processing machinery stays operational.
- This isn’t just about fixing what’s broken; it’s about driving efficiency and preventing issues before they happen.
- Reactive and Planned Maintenance (PPM): Triage and repair electrical faults on conveyors, checkweighers, and slicing machinery.
- Project Work: Get involved in machine upgrades and installations.
- Safety First: Ensure all work meets strict food safety and BRC standards.
The Shift Pattern
We operate a Double Day shift to give you a balance between work and life:
- Week 1 (Earlies): 05:30 – 14:00
- Week 2 (Lates): 13:30 – 22:00
The Bonus: Every 4 weeks, there is a mandatory Saturday shift, paid at a premium overtime rate, significantly boosting your annual earnings.
What You’ll Bring
- Electrical Expertise: You should be Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- FMCG Experience: Previous experience in a food or high-volume manufacturing environment is a massive plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You can read a schematic, find the fault, and fix it while the clock is ticking.
- PLC Knowledge: Basic fault-finding skills (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) will make you a standout candidate.
